University of Minnesota network outage, October 30, 2011

There was a service interruption this morning which prevented users from accessing the University network from off campus. Service has been restored for most users, but users with certain internet service providers are still unable to connect.

Network engineers are shutting down the University's peering connections with affected ISPs to restore service for all users.

More details will be shared when they are available.
